Preparing for iGCSE
One of the things iGCSE students struggle most with is adapting their answers to the mark scheme examiners rigorously enforce. Their essays are expected to make effective use of quotation to demonstrate understanding, analyse literary devices and their effects skilfully, scrutinise both the historical and literary context in which pieces were written, and be well-written to boot! This can be quite challenging for a 15 year old to do. That’s where our tutors step in. By helping students out with meticulous feedback, they can point out specific areas in which answers could stand to improve and provide recommended courses of action to fix those flaws.
Take a look at an example of the kind of feedback our tutors give to go about doing this. The question we will be focussing on is based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. If you would prefer a PDF version of this file, you can find one here.
